For season 10 (2016 recordings, 2017 aired) the “Doctor Who” crew went outside the usual BBC studios of Cardiff to the nearby Sony Studios at Pencoed. Known for their 4K recordings and large sets, it must have been the reason for moving there. Read an article about it here.

The Avengers – Age of Ultron – Italy

For the Avengers – Age of Ultron, the movie starts in the (much used) forrest of Bourne Woods near Surrey in the UK. But the secret Hydra Research facility is much further south in Italy. The Fort di Bard was used as the Facility.

NASA Michoud Assembly Facility

Former NASA Facility, but closed after the Space Shuttle program was canceled, now houses the Big Easy production company. Many big blockbuster films have been recorded here over the years.
