Marvel has found a “secret location” in the heart of New York. We have seen this in Rami’s version of Spiderman and it has also been used in Netflix’s Daredevil and later The Defenders. The Rooftop garden at the Rockefeller Center is a popular location for meetings between villains like Gao and Kingpin…. but it can also be used for weddings…
The Netflix 13 part series of “Daredevil” starts in a park in New York. The location where Wesley, the right hand man of “Kingpin” persuades a cop to help them is Abe Lebewohl Park. In fact it is one of the smalest parks in NYC named after a refugee from Ukrania (who did a lot of good for the community).
While most of the film “Fantastic Beasts” was recorded at Leavesden Studios in London, some scenes were recorded in Liverpool. In the early days, there used to be a shipping route between Liverpool and New York (where the film takes place). Therefore the archetecture of Liverpool looks a lot like New York.
One of the buildings that was used is the interior of St. George’s Hall. It is so large, it made no sense for the production team to build it as a set piece. They just dressed the real building.

Also the Cunard Building was used.
In 1984, Ivan Reitman and his crew used a lot of New York locations for their “Ghostbusters” movie. Perhaps the most famous one is the small fire station, which is actualy very real. It is located at 14 North Moore Street. However, the interior was not filmed in New York, but in downtown Los Angeles.
