In the North-West point of Ireland, subterranean caves can be found. Although they are not accessible to the public, the crew for ‘The Last Jedi’ were allowed to use the location for filming. Around Malin Head, multiple locations were used, a walking tour is available.

Game of thrones – Magheramorne quarry
The abandoned Magheramorne quarry has been used by HBO for “Game of Thrones”. A complete set of Castle Black has been build here as well as “The Wall” and fully realized Hardhome set. Although some interiors were build here, most were recorded in Belfast at “Paint Hall” studios. It is not open for public.
